WHAT HAPPENS AT MINI STAGES?
The programme is fun, educational and designed to hold your
baby’s attention.
It may include ‘action-songs’, folk and classical music and childhood rhymes from all over the world. Toddlers learn the songs and rhymes and once familiar with them want to hear, and maybe sing them, time and again.
INSTRUMENTS TO PLAY WITH
Little ones delight in handling instruments and at Mini Stages they will find lollipop drums, triangles, tambourines, jingle bells, egg shakers and more. Alert and stimulated, they learn to create sounds and distinguish between them.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS?
It’s all too easy to claim how an early introduction to music can benefit your child. What they absorb at Mini Stages will depend on their age, how often they attend and how long they stay. What can be said is that as babies and toddlers learn to beat time and move about, their co-ordination improves. So do the ability to listen, to synchronise movements, play with their peers and begin to form early speech. As you watch your child in the group you’ll almost certainly notice other ways they develop.
MEET AND TALK WITH FELLOW PARENTS
Some parents and carers may like to get together for tea or coffee and a chat after Mini Stages is over. This is a time to make new friends and as you get to know each other you may share experiences. The little ones too can strike-up friendships.
